Thanks to the initiative of Ruben Madrid, Mission San Rafael Rotary was proud to assist members of San Rafael's Coleman Elementary School PTA to beautify the school's playground area.  The plans came together over the course of several months and in the end, we were proud to help build a sturdy octagonal bench around a tree for the kids to rest on during those hot summer days.   Four members of the Community Service Team (Ruben Madrid [a Coleman School Grandparent], Mike Green, John Godsey and Susanne Karch) spent a Saturday helping grateful parents, students and grandparents to pull stubborn weeds, move a mountain of compost and plant the freshest of new plants.

We all agree that supporting this wonderful school was money and time well spent.   Thank you Coleman Elementary for allowing us to work with you! (Click the image to enlarge)
