Once again, the Rotary Club of Mission San Rafael jumped in to help families that might not otherwise have a Christmas Tree this year.   In an effort to assist those in our immediate community, nine of our club members picked out beautiful trees at the Rotary Club of Novato Sunrise tree lot (thank you RCNS for your assistance!!).  After attaching the tree stands, the trees were loaded into 3 pick-ups and we were off!

Before that happened, one long-time club member got the names of 12 families with kids who could use a helping hand with a tree this year and another member prepared directions for each address.  The wife of another Rotarian bought Christmas tree lights and bulbs and packed them up to go with each tree.  Another Rotarian was able to get some decorations donated by the Hospice Thrift Shop.   What a team!

Each family we delivered to was really happy to see us ---- especially the kids!!   One woman had a one-month old premature baby still in the hospital, but her one-year old was thrilled to see a big tree being delivered by men in Santa hats!

It was a wonderful way for us to reach out to others in our community AND for us to spend time with each other.    Merry Christmas Everyone!
